Tanning salon employment has been a booming business for South Beach tanning salon employees.
Tanning saloon employment has grown to more than 300 jobs in South Florida over the last decade, according to a new study released by the National Employment Law Project.
According to the report, there are now more than 3,000 salons in South Broward County and nearly 2,000 in the county alone.
More than a third of the salons are located in South Miami-Dade, where more than 90 percent of salons employed are employed by employers with over 10 employees.
South Beach has a population of more than 4 million people.
