A new tannery has opened in downtown Scottsdale’s downtown Scotty Square, and now people are taking a moment to take in the view.
It’s a new salon called the Scotty Spa, and its opening is drawing praise from some who said the opening is a win for the city.
It opens Friday, Aug. 29.
It has six locations, including the one at 2120 N. Broadway, which is located at the end of a street lined with restaurants, bars and boutiques.
The space will have a patio, and customers can access a large spa and sauna.
The spa is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and customers are asked to wear sunscreen, gloves, hats and other protective gear.
It will be open seven days a week.
The Scotty Salon will be owned by the same company that owns Scotty Bar and Grill, the Scottsville location.
The company has been in Scotts, Ariz., for about 10 years, and the two companies partnered to open a new Scotty bar and restaurant at a former U.S. Army base.
The bar will be the second of two in Scotty.
Scotty Spa is owned by a family of restaurateurs who have operated the Scotties restaurant in Scotting Square for about five years, said Lisa Boudreau, the president of the Scotting family.
They have a long history in Scotcy, Boudrie said, adding that the restaurant has been a family favorite since the late 1960s.
