The son of a Tanning Salon owner in Sydney’s inner west has died after a car crashed into the building and into a bush.
The 27-year-old man died on the scene.
Mr Wojciech was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 22-year old woman was airlifted to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with serious head injuries.
Police say the car crashed onto a hedge at the corner of Bunnings Lane and Tuckerman Street about 2.30pm (AEDT).
A second vehicle pulled up, and Mr Woscewicz’s son and other occupants of the second vehicle fled the scene before the vehicle stopped.
The injured man was airlift to hospital, but died from his injuries.
Mr Szekely, who owns the salon, told police that he and his son had been out for dinner at the time of the crash.
He said he and Mr Szeskely were on their way home from a party and had stopped at the intersection of Bunkers Lane and Stony Creek Road for dinner when they heard a crash.
Mr Dziedzic told the ABC that he was shocked to hear of the death.
“It’s a really tragic accident,” he said.
“My son was just doing his work when the accident happened.”
Mr Wosenciez was in his 20s and had been working in the industry for more than a decade.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
Mr Tinsley told the media his father died from a “catastrophic” accident.
“He was a very intelligent, very kind, caring person,” he told ABC Local Radio.
“I just don’t know how anyone could do this.”
Mr Szykiewicz said his father was a man who was dedicated to his business and loved his customers.
“The community is very shocked by this,” he added.
“They are just trying to sort of piece it together as best they can.”
Mr Tinesz said his brother had been driving the car and was being questioned by police.
“We are all in shock and shocked,” he was quoted as saying.
“There is nothing I can do for my brother at this time.”
Mr Hwang said Mr Wosesz was a keen gardener and his mother was a certified landscape gardener.
“She had been involved in conservation for quite a long time and was passionate about conservation,” he explained.
