Next Big Futures article The spray salon that’s been in business for more than a decade and has been hailed as one of the most innovative in the country is moving into the city.
The Spray Tan Salon on Main Street is scheduled to open its doors in late February.
The space, at 511 Main St., is located in the former tanning salon space on Main.
The salon will offer spray tan services and a full line of accessories.
The spa’s first customers will be in April, said Krista Pecan, a vice president of operations.
The salon will be located in a small strip mall next door to a local high school, but will offer spa and beauty services, Pecon said.
Pecan said she’s looking forward to opening her salon and making it one of many that is opening in the state.
“It’s great for us to be able to bring the same product and same expertise to this area, and it’s great to have an outlet in an area that is so underserved,” Peca said.
The spa will be the latest in a long line of businesses in the community that have opened.
Last year, the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce announced it had awarded a $1 million grant for an art studio that would bring local artists to Spokane.
In 2017, the city of Spokane voted to create the Spokane Regional Arts Center, a new nonprofit that will focus on regional and local arts, arts education, and cultural programming.
